HAS POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP
The Department
of Sociology at Rice
University offers annually a two-year postdoctoral
fellowship, whose primary focus is to conduct research using
the Houston Area Survey (HAS), in collaboration with
department faculty. Fellows are also encouraged to
collaborate with the faculty on other topics of mutual
interest. Teaching responsibilities are limited to one
undergraduate course during the two years. In addition to a
yearly salary of $45,000, each postdoctoral fellow receives
medical coverage, office space, computer equipment, and a
$3,500 yearly research expense and travel account.
